i recently got my diabeties test done and my fasting reading was 250 and post fasting was 320 so my doctor adviced for HBA1C test and the reading was 10.4% . so how do i know from what time i was suffering from diabeties? is there any way to know about it? my doctor has prescribed 3mg amryal and medformin 1000 mg at night & medformin 500 mg morning. Gradually the doasge was decresed.

HBA1c gives 3 months average of your sugar levels .....

Your current HBA1C levels must be checked but Please check with your diabetologist again
HBA1c shows 3 months average sugar... So you may not be having good control in the past 3 months.
Insulin resistance is more in your case.
Just check with your diabetologist if you may be a good candidate for insulin.
Early initiation of insulin will save your pancreas.
